Who We Are
Tim Wald, PT, DPT Tim received his Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science (2003) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (2005) from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Tim has served the pediatric population while working with the Rapid City Area Schools since 2006. He enjoys treating children of all ages (0-21) and has experience in treating children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD and multiple other neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and four children as well as snowshoeing, gardening and fishing. He is currently serving in the US Army Reserves, is an Assistant Den Leader with Cub Scout Pack 33 and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tim places his passion and love for helping children succeed into every treatment session and focuses on family centered therapy.
Kelsey Vandyke, MS, OTR/L Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Pyschology with an Exercise Sports Science minor (2014), followed by a Master of Occupational Therapy (2016) from Abilene Christian University in Texas. She is currently finishing an extensive program for assistaning "hard of seeing" people to gain a Low Vision Therapy certification. Kelsey loves helping children reach their fullest potential and her services help in a variety of ways from improving attention to managing frustration and impulse control, helping children smoothly transition throughout the day, increasing general readiness skills, and significantly improving play skills with increased engagement. She helps decrease negative behaviors, addresses sensory concerns, and advises caregivers on the best tools for successful treatment. She can also address find motor concerns, including handwriting, in order to help children succeed. Kelsey is so excited to be in Rapid City! In her personal time, she loves spending time with her family, painting, hiking, reading, and gardening.
Kelsey Bonavida, MS, OTR/L Kelsey received her Masters of Science degree from the University of South Dakota in 2014. She enjoys working with children of a variety of diagnosis, but specifically enjoys working with children who have sensory processing difficulties. Kelsey specializes in feeding therapy and has completed the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) training as well as specific feeding therapy training for infants. Kelsey is originally from South Dakota and enjoy spending her free time in the outdoors doing various activities: camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and biking.
Hannah Benefield Hannah received her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistance in 2020 from Arkansas Tech University in Ozark, Arkansas. She has experience working with adults and children in the home health, hospital, and clinical settings. She enjoys working on sensory integration, social interaction, funcational activities, and a variety of other skills/tasks. She also values building relationships with her clients and their families. In her free time, Hannah enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, and going on new adventures. |
