Who We Are
Tim Wald, PT, DPT
Tim received his Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science (2003) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (2005) from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Tim has served the pediatric population while working with the Rapid City Area Schools since 2006. He enjoys treating children of all ages (0-21) and has experience in treating children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD and multiple other neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and four children as well as snowshoeing, gardening and fishing. He is currently serving in the US Army Reserves, is an Assistant Den Leader with Cub Scout Pack 33 and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tim places his passion and love for helping children succeed into every treatment session and focuses on family centered therapy.
Becky Almeida, OTD, OTR/L
Becky received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences with a Psychology minor (2013) and her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Degree (2017) from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. She has worked with all ages in multiple settings including schools, a pediatric outpatient facility, an adolescent mental health facility, and a nursing home. Becky has decided to continue her learning and professional development with pediatric therapy because she has special interests in Sensory Processing Disorder and Pediatric Mental Health. She has experience treating children and teenagers with a variety of diagnoses including Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delay, Major Depressive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Anxiety. In her spare time,, Becky enjoys spending time with her family and friends while hiking, going to the lake, playing soccer, golfing, and just being outdoors in general.
Amy Joy Dulaney, PTA
Amy Joy received her Bachelor Degree in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University (2010). She then spent two years in Central Asia serving in an orphanage for infants with special needs. This experience solidified a life-long passion for children with special needs and led to the pursuit of an Associates of Physical Therapist Assistant from Herzing University (2017). For the last two years, Amy Joy has worked as a pediatric PTA assisting clients with a wide variety of neuromuscular, genetic, and orthopedic conditions. She has a special interest in aquatic therapy. Amy Joy enjoys community outreach and organizing community programs. In 2018 she oversaw the swim portion of an adaptive triathlon for children with special needs. In her personal time Amy Joy enjoys global travel, swimming, running, and biking.
Kelsey Vandyke, MS, OTR/L
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Pyschology with an Exercise Sports Science minor (2014), followed by a Master of Occupational Therapy (2016) from Abilene Christian University in Texas. She is currently finishing an extensive program for assistaning "hard of seeing" people to gain a Low Vision Therapy certification. Kelsey loves helping children reach their fullest potential and her services help in a variety of ways from improving attention to managing frustration and impulse control, helping children smoothly transition throughout the day, increasing general readiness skills, and significantly improving play skills with increased engagement. She helps decrease negative behaviors, addresses sensory concerns, and advises caregivers on the best tools for successful treatment. She can also address find motor concerns, including handwriting, in order to help children succeed. Kelsey is so excited to be in Rapid City! In her personal time, she loves spending time with her family, painting, hiking, reading, and gardening.
Kelsey Bonavida, MS, OTR/L
Kelsey received her Masters of Science degree from the University of South Dakota in 2014. She enjoys working with children of a variety of diagnosis, but specifically enjoys working with children who have sensory processing difficulties. Kelsey specializes in feeding therapy and has completed the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) training as well as specific feeding therapy training for infants. Kelsey is originally from South Dakota and enjoy spending her free time in the outdoors doing various activities: camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and biking.
Meghan Gavin, M.S., CF-SLP
Meghan received the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (2014) from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (2020) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings including outpatient clinic, schools, and inpatient hospital (NICU, acute care, and rehabilitation). In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, and baking.
